That’s how I felt the other day when a friend shared how she was struggling with fear. It helped me to know I’m not the only one who struggles, but then I felt bad for feeling good about her struggle.
That’s how I feel sometimes when I read my Bible. Like the story of Gideon, He was a man God used to conquer a huge army. All throughout Gideon’s story, you can see how hard it was for him to overcome his doubts and fears. I loved reading that, because overcoming has been such an ongoing process with me too.
What I really love about this story is how very patient God was with Gideon over the time it took for him to trust God completely. Gideon’s faith was inconsistent but God’s patience was absolutely constant.
